For your first Jubensha session, choose a work that fits your group and confirm the practical arrangement with the organiser. Jubensha uses prepared characters and story materials, but its themes, rules and hosting needs vary.
Before agreeing to a session
- Check the supported player count and the full time commitment.
- Choose a reading language everyone is comfortable using.
- Read the themes and content guidance.
- Confirm the location or supported online setup, organiser and Game Master requirements.
- Ask what access, preparation and costs apply.
Read the opening material carefully
Find out who your character is, which relationships matter and what the work asks you to do. Use the instructions to distinguish private material from information you may discuss. Ask the host about uncertainty rather than reading ahead for an answer.
Join the conversation in your own style
You can begin by listening, asking a question or responding to a relationship. Some works emphasise deduction, while others focus on emotion, comedy, strategy or factions. A theatrical performance is not a universal requirement.
Understand what the App does
Anzir App supports reading, materials and hosted sessions. Viewing a work on the website does not join a game. Follow the organiser’s instructions for the actual session and use the correct account and invitation.
