This guide covers the Jubensha workflow in Anzir Studio and the app. Interactive-game tools and publishing paths may differ.
What you will be able to do:Create recognisable materials and keep their purpose, source and recipient clear.
- Sign in to Studio with permission to edit your game. Screenshots use the private English tutorial draft The Farewell Letter.

Choose by the player’s action
- Clues give information to observe and interpret: a letter, a timetable, a witness account or an image containing evidence.
- Items represent things a player can hold or use. Describe the use rule and when the GM needs to resolve an action.
- A folder organises content; its position does not by itself determine when players receive the material.
Clues: create a folder and a clue card
- Select Clues, then New clue folder. Name the folder by stage, location or another structure you can recognise.
- In the folder, open Create and choose Clue card. Folder adds another organisational level when needed.
- Open the card, enter Clue name and Clue description, and add an image or PDF when useful.
- Select Save and check the saved state. Reopen the card to confirm its content before assigning it.
Items: explain what the object lets players do
- Select Items and create an item folder. Open the folder and choose Add item.
- Enter Item name and Item description. Describe what the player holds and how it can be used without silently revealing the solution.
- Add an image or PDF if needed, then select Save and check the result.
- Record any GM decision in the GM guide. Writing “opens a cupboard” in a description does not program an automatic cupboard interaction.
Images and PDFs: content, not decoration
The card’s upload area accepts the image or PDF types listed in the current dialog. Use its format and size checks; wait for upload completion before leaving or saving.
Open the finished material at reading size. Check that handwriting, dates and other essential evidence remain legible. A filename or image thumbnail can reveal a secret too.
What to do with the finished materials
- Use clear names so the GM and author can recognise the intended clue or item.
- Use a deck when several existing cards should be read as one set.
- Use Quick delivery to configure recipients and stages, then match them to the GM guide and a real playtest.
Studio handbooks and creation tools may require sign-in and author access.
