This guide covers the Jubensha workflow in Anzir Studio and the app. Interactive-game tools and publishing paths may differ.
What you will be able to do:Prepare materials another GM can find and use without needing the author beside them.
- Sign in to Studio with permission to edit your game. Screenshots use the private English tutorial draft The Farewell Letter.

Media: reusable images, audio and links
The media library keeps the game’s images, audio and external video or audio links together. Adding a file does not by itself start playback or assign it to players.
- Select Media and Upload media.
- Choose the intended type: image files, audio files, video link or audio link. Use MP3 for app audio and follow the current format checks.
- For a file, wait for upload completion and finish saving. For a link, enter its name and a valid URL, then add it as the dialog directs.
- Use folders and recognisable names to organise the library, then check the material where it will be read or used.
GM guide: instructions someone can run
Use GM guide for preparation, the full situation, the order of play, delivery cues, rules and the debrief. Keep these explanations separate from player chapters.
- Open GM guide and choose New manual section.
- Write the section in the same rich-text editor used for chapters.
- For each stage, specify its trigger, what the GM says or does, what is delivered and what players should do next.
- Save, check the reading preview and let another person follow the instructions during testing.
GM resources: reference images and PDFs
GM resources is for files the GM needs to consult, such as a full map, answer reference or printable running sheet. The resource library is not a player-delivery list.
- Open GM resources and choose Upload resource.
- Select an image or PDF within the current format and size limits. Wait until upload finishes.
- Open the resource to check its name and contents. Use the available preview or download action when preparing.
- Player-facing materials belong in the appropriate content area and Quick delivery.
How the three areas work together
- The opening chapter tells the lighting technician what they know and what they want to ask.
- The GM guide explains when to introduce the Unsigned letter without revealing its writer.
- Quick delivery holds the intended recipient configuration; actual sending is checked during play.
- A GM-only answer diagram would belong in GM resources. A player-facing sound or image belongs in Media and the relevant use or delivery context.
Check before handing the game to a GM
- Check readable filenames, legible attachments and playable audio.
- Match every named chapter and clue in the guide to the actual material and delivery step.
- Ask a tester to run one segment using only the guide, recording any point where they need the author’s explanation.
Studio handbooks and creation tools may require sign-in and author access.
