Your first game
From an invitation to being in the story.
Start with a game arranged by a venue, community or host. Confirm its time, language, duration and admission price with the organiser, then bring the app along.
Read the joining guideInstall Anzir and sign in
Download the app for your phone and sign in to the account you will use for the game. Charge your device and check your connection before the session.
Before moving on: You can access your account and have time for the full game.
Join your host’s game
Use the invitation or joining instructions provided by your organiser. Check the work and game details; ask the host if the invitation does not open the expected game.
Before moving on: You and your group are in the correct game.
Confirm your character
Choose an available character as arranged with the host. Check the character information before reading. If it is already taken or your access looks wrong, ask the host to help.
Before moving on: Your character matches the host’s arrangements.
Read the chapters opened for you
Read your character’s available material and look for who you are, whom you know and what you want. Open the next chapter when the host tells you to; keep private information within the game’s rules.
Before moving on: You understand your current situation and goal.
Receive clues. Make the story happen
Check new materials as the host advances the game. Ask questions, share information you may reveal and respond to other characters. Follow the host through the ending, then discuss the story together.
Before moving on: Ask the host about missing materials or unclear rules so you can keep participating.
During the game
Your phone holds the materials. You bring the character to life.
The host sets the pace. Use the app to read and check what you have received, then return to the conversation around you.
Read the in-game guide- Character chapters
- Your background, relationships and goals arrive through your character’s text. Read the content available at the current stage; another player may know a different side of the same event.
- Clues and other materials
- Check the materials provided to you as the story develops. When and how they may be shared depends on the work and your host’s instructions.
- Conversation and choices
- Use what you learn to question, respond and act. Some games emphasise deduction; others focus on emotion, humour or decisions. Follow the rules of the work you are playing.
Ready for your game?
Bring Anzir along.
Install the app before the session so you have time to sign in and check your invitation. Installing it does not book or arrange a game.
Before you arrive
- Confirm the time, location or online meeting arrangements, language and full duration.
- Check the admission price and content notes with the organiser, and mention if you have played the work before.
- Have your invitation, signed-in account, a charged device and a connection ready.
A few things to know
Before the story begins.
Do I need to know how to act?
You can begin by reading your character and speaking naturally. Ask the organiser about the work’s performance expectations; experiences differ, and the host can explain how to participate.
Can I see every character and clue?
During a game, use only your assigned character and materials made available to you. The screenshots on this page are labelled host previews; they do not represent a player’s access to all content.
What if my invitation or materials do not work?
Check that you are signed in to the intended account and have joined the correct game and character. Tell the host which invitation or material is affected and what message you see. Avoid switching to someone else’s character to troubleshoot.
Does the app replace the host?
The app delivers digital game materials. The host explains the rules, coordinates the group and controls the pace of the session. This guide describes taking part in a hosted game.
